Museum & site for a fall event that sees 1000s of intricately carved pumpkins lit up by night.

This thing is amazing! We came several years ago before our daughter was born and then the exhausted brain of parenthood and a pandemic led us to kinda forget about it until tickets were sold out each year. But this year we remembered! The Blaze is great with separate areas dedicated to themes. My favorite was an area dedicated to famous works of art but my daughter (6) really liked the rave house. Some things to know -- buy your tickets months in advance. It sells out quick. Know that you're going to wait in your car for about 30 minutes to get to the parking lot. Bring hot drinks for your people so you don't wait in line for another 30 minutes.

A fantastic showcase of imagination and skill! We were delighted and awed by the variety of themes on display, the lighting effects, and the quality of the carvings. Even on the last weekend, the pumpkins were well preserved. Choose an early start time - even at sunset the displays will dazzle, and you'll beat the crowds.

A must for all new yorkers for the halloween season. A great place to go for a family outing or for dates. Parking was a breeze and there was so much to see at the site. Took us around 45 minutes to finish seeing everything.

We just went and thought it was fantastic! Yes, there were a lot of people, but everyone was polite, and the crowds slowly thinned out/evened out across the length of the attraction, so it never felt jammed by any means. They kind of metered people in as well. It really was amazing. The "infinite trail" to me was really captivating - not sure if those were pumpkins the whole length or if some mirrors were involved (?) but it was incredible. As some have commented, YES not all of the pumpkins were real - but who cares? They were all carved by hand and beautiful works of art. Didn't make me appreciate the efforts any less. I don't think they COULD all be real and stay nice looking for the event to last over so many weeks. They couldn't be carved as intricately either to render such AMAZING visuals. The prices do go up over time and we wanted to keep it reasonable so we bought our tickets in August for the first Saturday that it was open in September, so it fit in our budget. I thought the whole thing was a very unique and memorable experience, very well organized/run, and VERY MUCH worth the great accolades that it receives! Nothing but praise for this incredible experience!!!!

What an amazing display! Highly recommend if you've never gone. We had more than an hour's drive so decided to leave extra early and enjoy dinner at Tavern at Croton Landing. (Excellent food and service). We had 6:30 Blaze tickets, which I would also suggest if you don't want to be in long lines of traffic leading into the event. The parking was wonderful and extremely organized.

Really beautiful pumpkin carvings. Amazing talents on display. I gather about 7000 pumpkins were used for the displays.

I went here the first week of November and it was a blast! So many skillfully carved pumpkins surrounding you as you walk the trail. The big benefit for me was that since it was after Halloween the crowd wasn’t too bad and a lot of the merch was half off! It sells out QUICK, but I got a presale code which was how I finally got in this year. Depending on the day/time you can find some cheaper slots. It’s a little pricy ($40/person for our group) but I thought it was worth it at least once! We chose the 6:00 time and with the time of year it was definitely dark enough the whole time. One thing that bummed me out was that not all of the pumpkins were real. They were plastic/pre carved. But it makes sense with the structure of some designs.

This is AMAZING and I wish we had this in Massachusetts. Very fun event enjoyable for all ages. A mixture of decorative fake pumpkins and hand carved real pumpkins. It is absolutely incredible what the staff have done with this.My personal favorite is the headless horseman throwing his pumpkin head. It runs rain or shine, and is around a 35-45 minute walkthrough depending on how long you look at each pumpkin setup and how many pictures you take for the gram.

We moved east from southern California four years ago; we have tried to attend the Blaze every year since. It's mind-blowing, and just great fun! Now that we live here, I consider that Blaze an annual part of our Halloween. I agree with the other reviewers; try to get your tickets early, as the weekends sell out quickly. Highly recommended!

Must-visit place. Enjoy the pumpkin lantern. The Great Jack-o-Lantern Blaze is a must-see for Halloween lovers! I was amazed by the thousands of hand-carved pumpkins that lit up the night with their creative designs and colors. The displays were stunning, and the music and sound effects added to the spooky atmosphere. I especially loved the pumpkin Ferris wheel and the circus sideshow. It was a fun and festive experience for the whole family. I highly recommend this event to anyone looking for a unique and memorable way to celebrate Halloween.

Every year this gets better and better. Being a totally outdoors event sets an ambiance that is spooky but not too spooky for kids . It is indeed a treat for all ages. With family, friends, a special someone or alone, it's one of the best events in the area for this time of the year to go to.Get tickets early because they sell out fast. It starts in September and goes till towards the end of November.

Fantastic experience, especially for kids. Adults walk through with adult beverage and kids enjoy themselves. Go as fast or as slow as needed. Excellent artistry, such talent. Very well done!

Very interesting. Creative. Great for kids of all ages. I cannot believe I have lived about an hr away for over 20 yrs and didn't know about this event. It's one of our favorite things to do in October now. Don't show up without tickets. Ì bought them online. Parking was not a problem. Organized very well.

This was very cute. A group of us went, and I had a fairly good time, but this is definitely geared more to the kids in my personal opinion. I think $40 for what you walked through was a little much, I do understand this was a none for profit. If it wasn't, I would have probably been a bit irritated that I paid that much. Overall I think if you have kids they will I love it, but if you don't like being outside in the cold and the rain then this is probably not for you, it wasn't for me. A lot of these pumpkins aren't actual real pumpkins they're displays, but they're still beautiful.

It was pretty cool, but it was a bit disappointing to know that some of the pumpkins were artificial. Snacks and beverages were good, nothing cool/specific to the event in the gift shop, though. It's a great place to take kids and lots of impressive carvings!

What a perfect way to celebrate Halloween!! We’ve never seen such an orderly, organized event, where EVERYONE was having an AMAZING TIME!! From parking to concessions to entry and the entire event, the staff was on the ball, extending themselves to be supportive in every way.The artistry and creative thought process was evident in each and every display-one more brilliant than the next!!Our adult kids have attended for several years, and now with little ones we’ll all be back again!!

The Blaze gets better every year. We love that some old favorites return each year, but they also add new displays each year. This year we loved the additions of MOPA, the NYC scape, and the firefighter. The special part of this year's visit was getting to bring my 90 year old mother in law to see the display. The staff at Blaze worked with us to accommodate her and allowed us to bring a small camp chair for her to sit and rest along the route. This is fun family friendly Halloween activity for all ages!We can't wait to return next year.

Another great year. The displays are beautiful and always entertaining. They have mastered crowd management and we only waited a few minutes to get into the parking lot. After that no line in and a few minutes for the snack line. No brainier on a fall evening. 🍂🍁
